Viralurl is an all in one marketing system which is used by thousands of Internet Marketers across the world. Amongst other things, it's extensively used to protect, cloak and redirect affiliate links. Many website owners place adverts within their pages using Viralurl's Ad system which works similarly to Google Adsense. The system can even advertise your links and build a downline, making it very powerful. If used well it can put you on the right path to a decent income.

Viralurl needs to be a reliable system that marketers can trust. If Viralurl is down, everyone's affiliate links that redirect using the system are also down. In my case, this includes links everywhere from Ads, Forums, Emails, Blogs and Traffic Exchanges. Websites that use the Viralurl Ad system, like my home page are likely to hang or display errors. All this can obviously cost very dearly, losing potential sales and sign ups.

Over the last couple of weeks until yesterday on the 3rd March 2008, Viralurl has been having various problems with their service. Intermittently it's been running extremely slow, so slow that redirected links are often timing out, or aren't displayed in time for a Traffic Exchange to display it. Sometimes it's been down completely and all redirects appear as bad links. It's been going up and down like a yo yo.

ViralUrl is a good service when it's working and in the past I've thoroughly recommended it. I can however only continue to recommend the product if they resolve these serious problems quickly and efficiently.

I've written to their support site detailing my concerns and they've replied within 24 hours which was very efficient, here is their reply:

Hello Paul,

I apologize for the technical issues.  Our web hosts technical support staff had been working on this the whole time and was able to fix the problem.

To prevent this from happening again we added now a second dedicated server that is taking care only of the MySQL database.

Well, it all sounds very promising and I'm glad to see they have acknowledged and addressed the issue. Viralurl is up and running as I speak and seems to be running fast and reliably at the moment. I will continue to monitor the service and as long as it's reliable from now on, I still recommend it as it's an invaluable set of tools for an Internet Marketer, especially newbies.

If I encounter further problems with ViralUrl, I will add comments, if I don't add any bad comments, you can assume that the service has stayed relaible.
