Thank you for updating the link you included in this list of comments for ptc-scams. There have been a lot of people losing time clicking on a lot of these sites, and I hope that both of these resources will save them from a repetition of other peoples discoveries.

I've placed a link back as a thank-you.

WOW, this has to be the most ridiculous get paid to site I have seen so far. They claim that free members get paid a massive $100 per email read for 30 seconds, yes $100. They are supposed to payout at $20,000 which means you have to allegedly read just 200 emails for this massive payout.

Is this a scam? Well of course it is, no company can afford to pay $100 for 30 seconds work. They claim to show payment proof, but it's easy to make up names and amounts to display. It's unbelievable that these companies continue to get away with blatant scams like this. Some people still fall for them, some even suspect sites like these are scams and yet they still try them anyway, these people use them hoping that just maybe a miracle might happen and they'll actually decide to pay after all. Unfortunately these people are normally left waiting for their money until the day the cows come home, but they then kid themselves saying, "well I haven't really lost anything" or "well I enjoyed reading the Ads anyway and I didn't mind". Because most people are so apathetic about reporting these illegal scam sites and also because they are often embarrassed they fell for such a scam, nothing ever gets done or changes, if more people kicked up a fuss about this, eventually something would have to improve to help stop these persistent criminals. If someone came to your door and scammed you out of money, most people would report it and the police would investigate, yet similar happens on-line and nothing is done. They are stealing and scamming money the same, yet most people don't even call the people behind these sites "criminals". These CRIMINALS are then left to re-offend time and time again unchallenged, it's big criminal business now.

One person alias, "rivermoney" on a forum claims to have reached the $20,000 payout and he writes about his experience when he reached the $20,000 payout threshold, <i>"i registered at <a href="www.cashmails.biz/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.cashmails.biz/</a> just to prove they are scam. when i reched 20k i requested payout. in my transaction history i see -20,000$ payout, but it never reached may PayPal. It is a total scam. 100$ per email is a scam. Even 1$ per email is a scam."</i> (Sorry about his spelling mistakes). See <a href="http://getpaidforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=544802" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://getpaidforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=544802</a> at <a href="http://getpaidforum.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://getpaidforum.com</a> for the full thread.

See <a href="http://www.cashmails.biz" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.cashmails.biz</a> if you want a laugh, but don't waste your time as even free members put money into the pockets of these criminals as people pay to advertise while you are spending your time reading their ads under false pretences and promises of money. Certainly don't waste your money on memberships Etc. Normally with these sites, when you finally reach the payout threshold, they simply won't pay and you will either get excuses or they will just ignore any contact. If things get too hot, they simply close-down the site and start another to scam people all over again.

Okay, this site is clearly and obviously a blatant scam as it's ridiculously too good to be true, but some so called "paid to" sites are far less obviously a scam. The most I have seen paid out per email read where there's been real reports of genuine payouts is just 2 cent or $0.02 per email. Unfortunately it's far less obviously a scam when sites claim to pay small affordable amounts but even some of these sites are still scamming people by not paying out. It's so unfair and there's so many scam sites popping up all the time, mainly fake "paid to" sites and also very dodgy "get rich quick" sites that are for instance pyramid schemes in disguise. Many of these sites are set-up by criminals who scam people with different sites time and time again without getting caught or even investigated by any authorities. The Internet has become lawless and is a gold mine for criminal scam artists who take money from innocent people while making it much harder for legitimate businesses to gain people's trust. Usually people scammed can't even get help from their local police force. One could literally have thousands of pounds stolen from these criminals (and YES they are criminals), yet the local police often won't be able to do anything as they will simply say, sorry they are not based in this country. Even if they are based in the same country, it's very hard to get the police to deal with these types of criminals. Surely it's time for International policing to start to help stop these Internet criminals?

Rich PTC and Big Money PTC are suspected scam sites at http://www.richptc.com/ and http://www.bigmoneyptc.com/ respectively. They claim to pay $1 a click and $10 per sign-up, but the maths just don't add up as they'd be losing masses of money if this was really true. The only way it could work is if over 99% of users don't get paid anything what-so-ever by never reaching the $1000 payout threshold.

For instance Big Money PTC charges just $3 for 1000 link hits, which works out at just 0.3 cent or $0.003 per click, yet they are paying out $1 per click. Okay, so if 95% of members never reach the $1000 payout threshold it would allow them to pay twenty times this to break even at 6 cents or $0.06 per click. Okay so they make a small amount of additional revenue from people paying for referrals and for paid memberships, this would at very best double their revenue, meaning they could then pay 12 cents or $0.12 per click to break even if 95% of members never reach the $1000 payout threshold.

In conclusion, to afford to pay $1 per click, over 99.5% of users would have to never reach the $1000 payout threshold and this is if they double their revenue from people paying for referrals and memberships which I somewhat doubt, otherwise this percentage would be even higher. I suppose this is possible, but judging by reports they are scam sites, I'm very sceptical.

A person claims to be listed as being paid $1026.20 under "proof of payments" for Rich PTC when he allegedly hasn't joined, but I suppose it's possible someone else used his username, see http://www.earnmoneyspace.com/forum/index.php?topic=13429.0 for more details. The same person also claims that http://www.ptcwallet.com is also a scam site as they're not paying out.

These sites are appearing virtually on a weekly basis and it would be a constant job to keep up. If you are worried about any site, search the name name followed by "scam" in Google. Also see http://twitter.com/ptcnova for an up to date list of suspected scam sites.

http://www.Junglegold.com is now a legitimate business selling Bird Feed. It was initially reported as a paid to scam site, but it was off-line at the initial time of writing and the domain has obviously been re-registered since by reputable company. Thanks to Richard Lazaro for pointing out that he is a good customer of Junglegold.com and we apologise for including this site as a possible scam before the update because of the previous owner of the domain. If any of the other websites don't correspond as Pay To Sites, then please assume similar has happened and the information is out of date. Things do change on the Internet.
