Further Comments on Haunted Happenings & Similar Profit Making Paranormal Groups
Unprofessional profit making groups are taking over!

Haunted Happenings now often runs 3 separate paranormal events on one weekend night (E.g. Friday or Saturday) and have obviously become quite large to do this. They are however a profit making business that has jumped on the Most Haunted band wagon with a goal to make as much money as possible, it's not a group of enthusiasts working from passion. Most of these successful groups flourish by creating irrational fear in it's attendees which is addictive in the same way as white knuckle theme park rides, the thing is truly professional paranormal investigations rarely involve any fear as usually haunted locations aren't even dangerous in the way they're portrayed to make money, especially if they're investigated in a properly controlled and professional manner. Haunted Happenings have got the money now to advertise everywhere and they even have various other sales websites in different names that are alternative trading names of Haunted Happenings to get even more money coming their way. Some of these money making groups are becoming so big that they can even afford to hire so called big names from such shows as Most Haunted, although I certainly don't see Most Haunted as the slightest bit professional or even a realistic portrayal of a genuine paranormal investigation. If you want pure entertainment including frights and perhaps even part of a theatre performance, then go on a paranormal event with Haunted Happenings or similar, but it certainly won't be a serious or professional paranormal investigation and it's therefore rather unlikely that anyone will obtain any evidence that truly stands up to the scrutiny of an independent parapsychologist even though the hosts will most likely try to tell you otherwise. In fact the hosts of such events will often make unwarranted presumptions regarding numerous occurrences throughout an event, concluding that they're definitely caused by paranormal activity when most either can be explained or are without enough evidence to back them up, they do this to make the event sound as exciting and eventful as possible so not to disappoint. Unfortunately a genuine investigation can sometimes be quite uneventful, but this wouldn't make good entertainment. For a serious and professional paranormal investigation, you really need to join a very serious and professional paranormal group that hasn't been inspired by Most Haunted and that exists from passion instead of trying to make a profit. The best paranormal groups have usually begun before Most Haunted even existed or it's members started conducting paranormal investigations before, although these professional groups are unfortunately now in the minority. As I said, in my opinion, Most Haunted don't conduct professional paranormal investigations, instead the team simply scream at the slightest sound to entice fear when it's not warranted and they don't lock down or investigate most alleged phenomenon properly, plus much of their evidence is extremely dubious to say the least. Most Haunted is clearly made for entertainment purposes for money, fame and fortune. So if a paranormal group tries to copy or look up to Most Haunted, they're not in my opinion professional.

Thanks to Most Haunted and then many inspired money making paranormal groups like Haunted Happenings, most famous paranormal locations and even some less famous locations are now asking for large sums of money to allow people to attend on a paranormal investigation. This is sadly making it hard for small groups of professional enthusiasts to get into most locations as money talks even if they are a very unprofessional group and this is in my opinion awful. My first paranormal investigation was back in 1996, well before Most Haunted hit our screens, back then the paranormal was much less publicised, but it was a lot easier to get into locations without money as the owners didn't usually see their properties as large money making opportunities. Often, unless you have plenty of money, if you want to attend a particular location, you either have to go along and pay with a group like Haunted Happenings or not go at all.
