Paranormal Investigation At The Grail Court Hotel in Burton on Trent

27 October, 2008 (08:30) | Uncategorized | By: admin

BirminghamIU have recently attended The Grail Court Hotel in the heart of Burton on Trent and investigated the most haunted room, room 21 as well as having the freedom of the rest of the hotel apart from other guests rooms, along with another less haunted room which we booked as a base camp.

We found the the location to have some paranormal activity, but it wasn’t incredibly active during most of the night we attended, although I did see what I thought to be a partial apparition. Genuine paranormal activity however cannot be guaranteed and I’ve known very haunted locations to be extremely active on some nights and non-active on others.

On arrival we initially felt very heavy as we entered room 21 and before long we managed to get unexplained tapping after asking out. Later I noticed the video camera suddenly move to the side while on a secure tripod, but unfortunately we hadn’t started filming at the time. Shortly after I saw a dark shadow in the shape of a person appear behind the video camera which then disappeared and had so obvious cause. We captured a strange light anomaly on one of the videos, but unfortunately didn’t catch any EVP from the dictaphone or anything unusual on any of the photographs. We also took various temperature readings and positioned EMF meters in various key locations, but caught nothing of interest. We also filmed around the hotel including the cellar. Everything was documented in full onto paper. We will be putting our findings on-line soon.

The hotel is allegedly haunted by many ghosts/spirits including a little girl who has been known to laugh at people in room 21 and draw on the side of the bath tub. The hotel has lots of history and was apparently derelict before it was renovated into this grand hotel. An old tunnel is thought to lead from the cellar to either Tutbury Castle or the local church. The staff and management at the location were wonderful and for that I thank them from all the BirminghamIU team. If anyone would like to attend the location themselves, the most haunted room 21 costs £75 for the night and has 1 double bed and a single sofa bed, sleeping up to 3 people. Double or single rooms are much cheaper. Please visit http://www.grailcourthotel.com for full details.

We hope to return to the location next month and will hopefully capture more evidence then.
