What you should know about get rich schemes!

22 May, 2009 (23:58) | Uncategorized | By: admin

There are so many get rich quick schemes scattered across the Internet and in my opinion most are either a total scam or don’t make the majority of people money. It’s a real shame if anyone really did have a genuine opportunity as it would be almost impossible to prove when sellers of thousands of ’scam’ opportunities or just opportunities that don’t work for most people have used every technique under the sun to convince people they are genuine falsely attempting to gain people’s trust.

This is the most important piece of advice I can give, it’s so simple and obvious, yet thousands of people still fall for these scams without even doing this. Whatever the scheme is you are considering, go to Google and type in the name of the scheme in question followed by the word, “scam”. Now carefully read through what you find. If it’s a brand new scheme and there’s nothing on-line about it yet, I advise you don’t risk paying for it. Be careful because pyramid type schemes will have lots of biased people writing good reviews about them as they need to sell the scheme itself to make money themselves.

What most get rich schemes have in common:

1. Most of these get rich or money making schemes promise you’ll earn lots of money or at least promise a decent steady reliable income and about 90% of schemes tell you that you don’t even need to put too much time into it to achieve this, E.g. Just a few hours a week leaving time for you to enjoy the better things in life, often going to to say that you can give up your day job. A few schemes however will tell you that you do have to work at the scheme and they try to use this as a way of gaining your trust as they claim to be honest unlike all the other schemes who say otherwise, but this unfortunately doesn’t rule them out of being a scam.

2. They say that anyone can do it no matter how skilled you are, just follow and take their advice or training to succeed.

3. They claim to be different and/or much better than any other scheme on the Internet today. Often they say that they understand you are sceptical because of all the other scams / get rich quick schemes out there, but they claim to be different, usually making out this that is the ONLY genuine and best scheme you will ever discover and how privileged you are to be offered it.

4. They usually have a list of success stories / testimonials from people who have apparently joined the scheme in the past. They all say how amazing the scheme is, many saying how sceptical they were at first after failing at numerous other get rich schemes beforehand. They all conclude that joining the scheme is best thing they ever did explaining how their life has changed completely for the better with the increased income. Usually they use a broad selection of people to identify with most of the population.

5. To initially get more information, you usually only have to fill out a very simple 2 or 3 field form, often just your name and email address. They are more likely to get your information than if they showed you a long form initially and this is so they can make an opt in email list of leads. If you read about the scheme and decide not to take the offer, they hope you won’t unsubscribe to information emails as they will continue sending you information attempting to hard sell you the scheme, often other future schemes and sometimes they will even sell your details on.

6. They will usually go on about how the scheme or system has been developed over a very long time, claiming it’s produced from the expertise of very successful internet marketers Etc. Sometimes they use a doctors name or someone else with a high level of education. Many scheme owners start lots of similar schemes and are probably working on the next scheme not long after the current scheme has been launched, but they obviously don’t want you to know this and make out it’s took years of research and work to bring out this once in a lifetime opportunity to try and gain trust.

Schemes that normally lose you money:

1. Many are mainly based on selling the actual scheme itself that you have just brought making it a pyramid scheme where around 89% of people lose out to the people at the top, but they often include an insignificant product or products too, so getting around the law as in many countries pyramid schemes are now illegal.

2. Some are based around training and will give you access to various Ebooks and or videos that are hardly worth anything, but usually they will claim otherwise. Sometimes it’s been known for this material to be freely available across the Internet. I’ve also known a scheme to sell you information about how to join free traffic exchanges, safelists, ad exchanges and free classified ad sites for promotion.

3. Some schemes confuse a pyramid scheme by making it far more complicated and confusing using what they call a matrix or similar. These still only redistribute wealth, usually from the majority of members to a few, in a similar way to pyramid schemes but in a far more complicated way to confuse you. This also gets around the law in most countries banning pyramid schemes as matrix schemes are classed as different. You can be sure that the only people who are sure winners are the owners.

4. A hand full of schemes are free, but free members hardly ever make a dime unless you at least sell lots of paid memberships to the scheme. The main reason for offering free membership is to try and sell you paid membership while you are a free member and to have you as a lead on their list for attempting to sell others schemes in the future Etc. Watch out for high payout thresholds that are designed to exclude most people from payment on free schemes or otherwise as they know that most people will give up well before they reach this payout amount and therefore get paid nothing.

5. There are a few schemes that offer you a website full of products to sell where you make a commission, often with promotion tools which can be just links to traffic exchanges, ad exchanges and safelists that you could join anyway. Sometimes the products can be worthless ebooks or the get rich scheme itself, but occasionally it could be a genuine shopping site with products. The problem is it’s rarely your own domain, it’s normally a worthless sub domain amongst loads of other subdomains all selling the same thing. This makes it very difficult to make anything as all the other members are out to do the same with the same products in competition with you and the owner of the scheme don’t care how many members there is, the more the merrier as far as they are concerned. Again the only sure winners are the owners themselves.

6. Some schemes are a combination of various parts of the above 5 types of schemes.

Hard Sell / Sales Techniques:

1…You are offered a time sensitive or one time offer where you must buy into an apparent money making opportunity now to either get it at a cheaper price or so to get loads of apparent bonuses. You will be told how much you are missing out if you miss this incredible opportunity.

2…Clever video presentations showing you how amazing this particular so called opportunity is.

3…Bombarding Emails, all working on hoping you will finally crack and buy the money making scheme in question.

4…Free Ebook about how to make money on-line, E.g. Secrets of making money on-line finally revealed. This Ebook will simply hard sell the scheme in question, concluding that the best way to make money on-line is by purchasing the money making scheme in question.

5…Occasionally schemes will initially give you something else free without having to join, like leads or hits to a website of your choice, but you usually have to earn your freebie. For instance, on one scheme to for 50,000 hits, I had to watch a 15 minute sales video then attend a 15 minute live video webcast with someone again trying to sell me the scheme at a specific time. After that I had to ask for my free hits as they weren’t given automatically and I have to say the company weren’t nice about it. Now I get about 10 hits a day to a website that is according to them and there is no proof I am really getting these hits. To continue getting these alleged hits, I have to stay a free member, receiving at least one sales email a day and I have to login to be badgered by a person on a live webcam to buy the scheme at least once every 3 days or the free hits are cancelled completely. Is this really worth all this hassle? Well I could join numerous traffic exchanges with free credits giving hits without going through all this. Incidentally free membership offered me nothing worth having.

6…I have recently seen a money making opportunity actually take you to a live video chat room when you initially take an interest in the money making scheme. You will be surprised when you hear your name called through your speakers asking you to say “hello” to start the conversation. A live operator will spend time desperately trying to talk you into paying your hard earned cash into this particular money making scheme. The conversion rate is very high as many people are impressed by the personal approach and this approach is relatively new at the time of writing. I saw a number of people pay $99 for just one month’s silver membership to a scheme and the highest membership is $199 a month or almost $2400 a year. The particular scheme is publicised as a scam across the Internet for various reasons, so don’t be fooled by this personal technique.

7…Some schemes are now really trying hard to sell what is supposed to be a complete home business package with absolutely everything you need to succeed. They try to make out you are more of a partner to the business than just someone purchasing a get rich scheme. Often they offer various streams of income and lots of support from staff that are supposed to train and work with you. The problem is most of these schemes tell you very little about what is really offered until after you have handed over your hard earned cash and what you really get is often a big shock, E.g. worthless Ebooks advising you how to promote the scheme itself for instance along with links to free traffic exchanges, free safelists, Free Ad sites Etc. Etc.

8…Some schemes offer a full money back guarantee if you don’t make money. I have even seen one scheme offering to pay $3,000 after 3 months if you don’t make $100,000 by then and they only wanted $250 to join. Many people will see this as risk free, or guaranteed income, but of-course this is untrue. In this situation, read the terms and conditions carefully as there will normally always be a way out for the company not to pay you back or the organisation will simply ignore your requests. In the $3,000 if you don’t make $100,000 offer, you have to use their techniques exactly to the letter and it’s almost impossible to prove you have actually done this when the organisation says you haven’t.

As the competition gets more and more fierce as the Internet becomes more and more saturated with get rich or work at home schemes, they are coming up with newer ways of gaining your trust, unfortunately in my opinion most will lose you money and all will put money into the pockets of the scheme owners.
