Get Rich Quick – Don’t Be Scammed!

6 March, 2010 (04:30) | Uncategorized | By: admin

Introduction:

Unfortunately there’s literally thousands of ways to be scammed on-line and many are alleged get rich quick schemes or so called money making opportunities that simply don’t work for all or certainly the vast majority of it’s members lose most or all of their financial investment(s). Of course people are also conned out of their precious time which will usually also go towards lining the owner’s pockets even more and this is usually the case even if they manage to avoid any financial commitment.

On-line Scams – A Safe Haven for Criminal Enterprise:

Authorities in most countries don’t even consider running get rich or money making scams on-line as a serious crime as they barely ever choose to investigate them even though this type of fraud and deception is often making these scam artists literally thousands. In fact overall, these on-line scams have already become a multi-million dollar criminal enterprise! It’s a great opportunity for criminals to make plenty of fraudulent money with hardly any risk of being caught or punished for their crimes and unless something is done, the problem will almost certainly continue to get even worse in future. If a scam artist fraudulently made thousands of dollars off-line, the authorities would certainly treat it as a very serious crime, so what’s the difference?

Genuine Systems Can’t Survive Amongst So Many Scams:

Because of the shear number of get rich or money making on-line scams available with new fraudulent and very convincing websites appearing on a daily basis, it’s become almost impossible for any genuine work from home opportunities to flourish. This is because it’s very difficult for people to spot a few genuine opportunities amongst so many scams that now totally outnumber them. These scams also potentially steal legitimate advertising revenue, financial investments and also memberships away from legitimate sites, this will of-course greatly reduce what these genuine sites are usually able to offer it’s loyal members in return for their hard work.

Pyramid Schemes, Matrix Schemes & Similar Scams:

Often after joining a dodgy get rich scheme or so called money making opportunity, much of your own time and sometimes money will probably be spent promoting and advertising the scheme itself as they’ll usually convince you that you need to get people to sign up beneath you so you can make money yourself, but most people will never ever reach the payment threshold or in some situations they simply won’t pay out anyway despite promises. Even if a person did reach the payment threshold and gets paid from their affiliate earnings, there will then be numerous other unfortunate people signed up beneath that will pay for this single payout often many times over, always making the owner a lot more money. In a similar way to pyramid schemes, only around 11% of people towards the top of the pyramid can possibly make money from a selling a scheme without a real product, while around 89% always lose out even if the scheme does pay the promised affiliate commissions. Of-course the person at the very top is the owner of the scheme itself who by far makes the most money! Pyramid schemes are illegal in most countries and are now rightfully seen as a scam, so often they’re instead disguised by offering a side product or service when the main product is in fact still the scheme itself. A very common excuse for a product that’s sold along with a pyramid scheme is an Ebook or Ebooks that often give help or advise on promoting the system itself and/or they’ll try to get you to pay to join sister schemes too, but they’ll usually be advertised by showing a picture of a real book or binder, complete with a graphical cover, making it appear more than just an Ebook which you’re really receiving. They’ll also often imply that an almost worthless Ebook is worth a ridiculous amount of money too, so it looks like you’re receiving for-stance $100+ worth of products for the small fee. Sometimes the pyramid scheme is so cleverly hidden that it actually appears that the main product is in fact a set of Ebooks. There are numerous variations of pyramid schemes and many are cleverly camouflaged to look like genuine business or work from home opportunities, but look out for systems that expect you to pay for a website that’s just like the one you’re signing up on as these are nearly always pyramid schemes. Please remember that quite often there will be plenty of excellent reviews dotted around the Internet for such dodgy schemes, even if they are complete and utter scams as these articles will have a link to the writers affiliate link, obviously making them heavily biased towards promoting the scheme.

Another program that’s 100% doomed to leave the vast majority of it’s members with nothing or certainly very little return for their investment are matrix schemes. Like a pyramid scheme, the only product is the system itself and ALL systems without a product or an excuse for a product are simply income redistribution systems, NOT money making opportunities or work from home programs. Of-course the person making by far the most money from matrix systems is again as always the owner along with a small minority of people higher up who have referred masses of other unfortunate members who have much less chance of making anything. Matrix systems are designed to confuse more than pyramid schemes and can be quite complicated, but you usually have to refer so many members each time to get paid commissions into your account. There are numerous variations of matrix systems, most are marketed as revolutionary and amazing money making opportunities, but ALL matrix systems are doomed systems without a real product and remember that most people will get nothing or very little return from their investment no matter how hard they try to convince people otherwise.

There are also other systems that are neither called pyramid or matrix schemes, but they still work purely by the member selling the system itself, meaning again that the vast majority of people are doomed to fail, while a small few make money at the top, mainly the owner who always makes a packet no matter what. The income is redistributed using often complex and sometimes secret algorithms that are usually designed to purposely confuse the member from the truth of the system, so fooling people into thinking they’re investing in income making opportunities using what they call a powerful and often unique system. An example of such a system is Lawn Chair Millionaire which you should avoid like a plague! There are masses of excellent so called reviews about Lawn Chair Millionaire and similar schemes, but they’re all extremely biased articles by desperate members who are simply trying to sell the system itself to unfortunate people who stand even less chance of being in the small minority who stand to make a profit.

Paid To Click (PTC) Scams:

Another revenue earner for the owner of a get rich or so call money making opportunity is from paid advertisements. Sometimes these adverts are simply placed throughout the website, but sometimes the whole theme of the so called income opportunity could be around it’s members clicking or reading advertisements, E.g. Paid to Click (PTC) programs. Any PTC program that promises to pay a large income for clicking on Ads is a scam. Genuine PTC sites can only afford to pay around 1 Cent (2 Cents at the very most) per click, but some scams will offer $1 or even $10 per click along with ridiculously fake payout thresholds of $1,000 or even $10,000, yet some people still fall for these blatant ridiculous scams believing that there’s still a chance they will pay even if they’ve already read articles like this one! As well as selling advertising, PTC sites also often make revenue from selling guaranteed sign ups to free to join programs (also called referrals) and then the PTC members are also paid to sign up to these free programs using people’s affiliate links, but this is all a complete waste of time if the PTC site isn’t really paying out at all anyway. Genuine sites can only afford to compensate members less then they charge for each free sign up and they usually charge around $1 each, but scam PTC sites will often promise to pay $10 or even $100 per sign-up which they clearly can’t afford. Big Money PTC for instance promise to pay members $10 for each free sign-up when they’re only charging people $1 each! Simply do the maths and you will see that Big Money PTC would stand to lose $9 per free sign up if they really did pay out, this evidence alone proves it’s a scam site! If you would like to see more proof and information about Big Money PTC being a scam, please read my article titled, Big Money PTC – A scam? See proof UPDATED!

Unfortunate members can waste many hours of work spread over sometimes many weeks to get to the payout threshold on such PTC scam sites, only not to be paid a Cent. To get to the threshold quicker members need to also refer members beneath them who also won’t ever be paid a Cent. Again one can often find biased and fake good reviews about such scam PTC systems along with the writers affiliate link, but the fool is on the writer who’s wasting his/her time promoting for absolutely nothing as well as anyone who believes the article and also signs up beneath them. In fact these scam sites will simply never pay a Cent no matter how much work a particular member puts into the system or how many people they refer.

I have also written another relevant article about PTC scams, please see 6 Ways A Scam PTC Can Avoid Paying You! for full details about what specifically happens when you attempt to request a payment from a scam PTC site after reaching their payment threshold, you will read exactly how they manage to avoid paying people.

In addition to paid advertising revenue, even more revenue from a scam PTC site is often made from optional premium memberships that usually promise to pay members more by allowing the premium members to have access to more paid adverts and perhaps sign-ups, plus they can sometimes earn more from their affiliate commissions, unfortunately a premium member will only reach the payment threshold quicker to discover that the scam PTC site still won’t pay a single Cent no matter how much they’ve put into or spent on the system.

Many of scam PTC sites like BigMoneyPTC and RichPTC for instance even show fake payment proof, so please don’t be fooled as it’s very easy to make up names, dates and amounts allegedly paid, sometimes members who have been ripped off are later shocked by the cheek of some scam PTC sites when they even add their details to their payment proof page when they haven’t received a Cent. Often the apparent amount paid so far is also shown on the front page of scam PTC sites which is also completely made up when the amount paid to members is in fact $0. Sometimes they’ll even doctor the number of members that have allegedly signed up to a scam PTC site to encourage more people to sign up and also to pay for advertising, especially when the site is in it’s infancy.

There are some genuine PTC sites out there however, please see http://www.beenpaid.com/award/ for a list of PTC sites that have passed strict tests and are therefore proven to pay out. You might also find my article titled Genuine “Get Paid To” Programmes – Don’t Get Scammed Again! useful. There are other genuine PTC sites that haven’t been tested as yet, but unfortunately for each genuine site, there’s numerous fake ones.

They Want You To Leave Your Email Address:

Some people may only decide to leave their name and email address for more information about an alleged money making opportunity before walking away completely, but even by just doing this alone, they will often collect this information together to sell leads and/or they will usually keep bombarding your email address themselves with various other so call money making opportunities or similar, hoping you’ll eventually be tempted to invest. Collecting leads is extremely important to Internet marketers and they’re also worth money when sold in bulk. Also have you ever seen advertisements offering to give away thousands of leads, sometimes for just requesting more information or by initially joining a system as a free member? How do you think they obtain these leads, be careful as you could easily end up amongst the list of free leads given away and who would really want to be on such a list?

A Not So Free Program or Money Making Opportunity:

It’s extremely common to be sold a so called a “free” or “totally free” program or money making opportunity, but after you join you’ll soon find out that you’re being sold paid premium memberships and/or other related products or services. Later on after wasting your time on the free system, you often find out that the free system is really just a worthless program that is designed just to obtain leads and tempt you with paid offers and/or memberships of the full system. Even if you never decide to purchase anything, they still usually make money from advertising traffic and they could even sell you as a lead. Also while using the free system, again you will usually be encouraged to promote the system itself.

The problem is, when you’re scammed into believing a system is free when it’s clearly not, can you really trust this company with their paid memberships, products or services? It’s certainly not a good sign and often the paid memberships are also extremely poor or grossly exaggerated get rich or money making opportunities where most people or everyone is doomed to fail miserably. I personally would never trust any organisation that’s not honest and upfront from the very start!

Free Trials That They Don’t Want You To Cancel:

Free trials can be available for membership to just about anything including some services related to making money on-line. I’ve for-instance seen free trials to freelance programs that will attempt to find you paid work at home, but there are many other examples.

Memberships with free trials aren’t usually scams in themselves and you can at least test these services relatively “risk free” without paying a Dime. In fact by offering a free trial it does in my opinion say something good about the system as if it was completely useless, most people would obviously walk before the trial ended as long as the trial is sufficient for the person to fully evaluation the system and all the functions are available during the trial.

Free trials can be sometimes wrongfully advertised so initially making people believe they’re totally free to join until they have to put in their payment details towards the end of the application, but the main possible scam with free trial systems is when there’s a problem leaving the system before being charged at the end of the trial.

Firstly most free trials will insist in taking your credit, debit or direct debit details, if they don’t then it’s truly risk free and this would say a lot for such a system, but this is rare. They hope you enjoy the service to want to stay or that you’ll at least forget to cancel before the end of the free trial when you will be charged.

Possible scam: Ensure you always read the small print in their terms and conditions about cancelling the agreement to any free trial before joining with your payment details. Sometimes to cancel you will have to follow precise instructions that at worst could even be designed to purposely confuse you into making a mistake. If you don’t follow the instructions exactly, your membership probably won’t be cancelled and you will still be charged at the end of the free trial. I’ve also known some people cancel free trial memberships and still find out they’re charged at the end of the trial when the organisation refuses to acknowledge that they actually cancelled. Ensure you keep copies of any correspondence and send any snail mail letters by recorded delivery as otherwise they could deny receiving them. Watch out for minimum terms to agreements as if you fail to cancel you could find yourself on a 12 month contract if you’re not careful where you’ll usually have to pay a penalty to leave before the end of the term. If you do decide to continue using the system beyond the end of the free trial, ensure you read exactly how the payments will be taken, I’ve seen systems advertised as for-instance £16.99 a month, but at the end of the trial you’ll be instead charged £50.97 for 3 months membership or even a whopping £203.88 for annual membership. What would be worse is if you don’t expect this, you could go into unauthorised overdraft and then be charged penalty bank charges on top. Worse still, this unexpectedly high payment could bounce, you could still be charged penalty bank charges in the case of a direct debit, then the company could chase you for the debt and/or try to take the money again a bit later. If you fail to pay after a number of requests, the sum owed could be defaulted and this could blacken your credit history and ability to obtain future credit, plus the company could even later sell the debt onto a debt collection agency who will almost certainly harass you for payment.

Spot The Hard Sell Techniques:

Sometimes after joining a usually so called free system or even if you’ve already paid for membership, you will be offered a one time special offer that they say will never be repeated ever again, this is a way of pressure selling before you’re able to fully consider all the options and in my opinion wouldn’t be used by many reputable organisations!

Some organisations will try to offer you something for free, but in return you’ll usually be put in a position where you’ll be open to various hard sell techniques where they will obviously try everything to attempt to get you to sign up to their paid program or service. Sometimes the free product or service offered is in fact worthless or worth a lot less than you think, this is usually the case with free Ebooks as the Ebook will normally just be instructions that will describe a system that involves buying their paid system or service, in other words it’s not really an Ebook, but more like a sales article! On some occasions organisations might offer to give away free hits, free leads or something else for signing up for free or for more information, but expect to put up with extreme hard sell as they certainly won’t like giving you something for nothing. For example, World Profit ask you to join their so called business success system (simply another money making program) free as an associate member telling you that you can claim 50,000 free hits to a website of your choice without any obligation. In order to obtain these free hits, they force you to attend a scheduled live on-line seminar that desperately attempts to convince you to join their very expensive paid program using extremely hard selling techniques and then you’re offered a one time bonus offer where you’re given so many minutes to respond under pressure when you return to a live conference and chat room which is complete with a live sales operator with real audio. The operator will try everything to convince you into parting with your hard earned money and they’re in fact very successful in their clever pressure selling techniques, in fact they will have some people even feeling guilty by refusing to pay for membership. Many people will be convinced that they’re genuinely trying hard to help you and that this expensive paid programme is the only reasonable way forward if you genuinely want to make money on-line with a successful business which they’ll of-course set-up for you. The program itself isn’t even described as a money making opportunity, but instead it’s marketed as the tools to build a successful home business along with ongoing training where you’ll receive the help from their experts to ensure your success, sounds good doesn’t it? Well be warned as from various on-line reviews and also from scam reports, it’s certainly not what it at first seems and in fact the main part of the program involves selling the program itself to other people, making it a pyramid scheme in disguise which is of-course doomed to fail for the vast majority of members. To continue the hard sell, the live on-line operator who is on first name terms actually even counts down the time left for you to take the one time offer where you’re apparently given exclusive bonuses to jump start you’re business. Pressure will be put upon you as you’re repeatedly told how much you’ll lose out if you miss this so called incredible opportunity. Unfortunately despite everyone assuring you that paying for membership will be the best money making on-line business opportunity of your life, I continue to read numerous complaints on-line about World Profit and in fact about the owner himself, Jeffrey Lant. Like many other programs, they also say that you’ll be receiving hundreds of dollars worth of bonus products when you join as a paid member that are allegedly worth much more than the membership cost alone, but I’ve also read that they’re instead worthless free Ebooks that can be found easily across the Internet. They say that you’re guaranteed to make money if you follow their instructions, but I’ve read terrible stories from numerous people which is bound to be the case from a pyramid scheme. They even tell you that paying for membership is risk free as if you follow their instructions and don’t make a profit, they will offer you a full refund allowing you to still keep the free gifts, but I’d like to see a single person who’s successfully managed to get their money back as one can be sure they’ll swear that you haven’t followed their instructions properly. After attending their live on-line seminar which is incidentally run by the owner, Jeffrey Lant himself, they will eventually reluctantly give you your 50,000 free hits, but I had to demand them on more than one occasion from the live conference room before they were eventually credited, while constantly refusing to pay for membership against their repeated advice. Incidentally, they don’t like people debating against the system in the live conference room as this decreases their success from selling to other people sharing the room, if you debate too much you will be instantly evicted and banned for around 24 hours so they can keep the room artificially biased towards promoting the program. Unfortunately even after receiving the 50,000 free hits, there are nasty catches, you only get a small number of hits a day to just one website and you have to log in at least once every few days to keep your free account active where each time you’ll again find yourself in the on-line conference room where they’ll have another go at selling you their paid membership unless you’re very quick to leave. You’ll also be bombarded with regular hard sell emails. If like most people, you eventually forget to log in or can’t be bothered to any more with all the hassle, your free credits will be removed and you won’t receive any more free hits. The point is, the time I’ve wasted getting my free hits could have easily been spent earning credits on a free traffic exchange instead with a lot less hassle to get my hits to say the least. Also unlike many good traffic exchanges like Traffic Swarm which is highly recommended, the free hits received on Worldprofit are extremely low quality and not targeted in the slightest. This is one example of how far some money making programs are prepared to go to sell you their system, World Profit goes a step further than many with their hard selling techniques, but many other systems are similar in other ways and each will have it’s own methods of hard sell so please be warned! You might be also interested in my full article about World Profit titled False Promises and Hard Sell from Worldprofit.com for more details.

Sometimes you’ll be sold a free training program about how to make money or at least how to achieve steps towards this goal, like obtaining leads for instance. It will usually be very cleverly marketed, often by someone who has apparently already make his/her fortune and is then apparently willing to share their experience with yourself. You’ll then usually receive various automated emails, each one carefully written towards trying to advertise a paid system. Occasionally you can possibly receive useful information too or the paid products advertised good be reasonable, but this is quite rare. You will be normally always be bombarded with hard sell marketing emails for ever more and you could be sold as a lead to others too.

Please remember that if a product is really that good, why do they need to hard sell or pressure sell it? If such techniques can really make that much money, then why is the owner telling everyone else about it instead of using it to make money themselves. Some money making systems will explain that the owner is telling you about it as it helps them make even more money, they often then go on to explain that you’ll be given a website and/or system just like they had when they made their fortune, but this is only normally the case with doomed pyramid schemes or very similar without any real product where most people stand to lose out no matter what. DON’T FALL FOR IT!

The Convincer

Most get rich schemes will try absolutely everything to convince you that they’re totally different to the rest and that they’re the most amazing money making opportunity on the Internet, often trying to make out how incredibly lucky you are to discover it. A common statement will read similar to “this is the most important discovery of your life” or “this is a life changing opportunity”, but there are many more. Sometimes they will even refer to and condemn other poor or scam get rich schemes, appealing to people who have been scammed in the past or that have never been successful before to sign up to this system, trying to convince them that it’s so much better than the rest for numerous reasons, but often the scheme is still either a scam or a system that is doomed to fail for the majority of members. Another common sales pitch is to constantly build up the main person who allegedly created the system as an extremely successful money making guru who’s already made their fortune on-line, usually claiming they made it all from nothing after using the same techniques and/or knowledge he or she is now about to share with you. This can be extremely convincing, but unfortunately this is often complete and utter rubbish when the real owner is instead trying to make a fortune from poor unfortunate members who fall for a system that doesn’t work, E.g. a pyramid, matrix or similar system that’s doomed to fail for the vast majority of it’s members.

An apparent money making system will often have a list of testimonials from apparently genuine people, often with photos, sound or even sometimes videos. Everyone will absolutely swear how amazing the particular program is, how easily they made so much money from it and often how it’s improved their life, advising you predictably that you shouldn’t miss out on such an incredible opportunity. Some people may even describe how sceptical they were at first to about joining such a get rich scheme or money making scheme after being scammed so many times in the past, but they will always then go on to say that joining this scheme was the best thing they ever did. Some people will tell you that they tried everything before joining this opportunity and everything failed except this amazing system which they will strongly recommend. Some will usually go on to tell you that anyone can do it without any past experience as full training or instructions are given that will guarantee success. Please remember that it’s very easy to print a few fake testimonials on a website using perhaps friends or relatives of the owner, or if there’s no video, even random pictures of people. In my opinion, the vast majority of testimonials on such websites are fake and/or doctored. Also if you joined the program and was extremely unsatisfied, then if you wrote a poor testimonial, would this be printed on the front page too? Well of-course not, so they’re all at the very least extremely biased and I personally wouldn’t trust or take any notice of them when considering the feasibility of any system! Instead I would start researching the quality of a system by searching the Internet for independent reviews without affiliate links attached, plus I’d certainly search for articles about the system along with the word “scam”!

As I discussed earlier in this article, often almost worthless Ebooks are sold along with pyramid schemes or similar, but they’re advertised as worth ridiculous amounts of money so it appears you’re getting an amazing deal. Well sometimes Ebooks are also given away as bonuses or sold with other get rich schemes or so called money making opportunities, but they’ll often advertise that you’ll be receiving for instance $100 worth of free products when you purchase membership to a system that’s costs a fair bit less, so implying that you really can’t lose on such an incredible deal. Unfortunately many Ebooks will simply try to get to you join sister products and schemes, or they’ll simply try to help you promote the scheme they’re trying to sell. Occasionally the Ebooks can be quite useful, but the information and sometimes even the complete Ebooks can often be found totally free by simply surfing the Internet. As I’ve discussed earlier in this article, Ebooks are normally always advertised using a picture of a real book or binder complete with graphical cover, so it wrongly appears you’ll be receiving more than just an Ebook.

As I’ve mentioned briefly earlier in this article while referring to World Profit in “Spot The Hard Sell Techniques”, some get rich or so call money making schemes are advertised as “risk free” or similar as they’ll make upfront and often strong promises that you’ll get all your money back if you’re not satisfied after so many days or often if you haven’t made a certain amount of profit in this time. This advertised guarantee can be very convincing to many potential new members as they’ll truly believe that the system must actually work for them to offer refunds and they’ll then gladly pay upfront thinking that it’s impossible for them to lose, but unfortunately many people are still scammed into losing all or most of their hard earned cash and they certainly won’t be receiving a refund as promised. Here are a few example of possible convincing advertising lines, “Make $200 in 30 days risk free” or “Make $200 profit in 30 days or receive a full refund” or even better, “We’re so certain you’ll be successful that if you don’t make a profit within 30 days of joining, we’ll give you your money back and you can still keep our free bonus gifts as a thank you just for trying our system!”. Yes, some schemes will also offer bonus products on joining (normally almost worthless Ebooks – see the paragraph above) that they’ll even allow you to keep after you get your money back. The first big problem is, you have to carefully read the terms and conditions as often they’ll be a clause or clauses that allows them to get out of refunding your money. Some will for instance expect you to follow their instructions and advice exactly throughout, but if you request a refund after not making a profit, they’ll almost certainly blame this on you for not doing something as instructed exactly, so refusing the refund on these grounds. To get a refund, you will normally have to follow complex and awkward instructions that will be designed to confuse, but if you made any mistake, they will usually refuse a refund. There might also be various exceptions that exclude members from receiving refunds for various reasons, this could mean that the majority of members aren’t eligible for the offer. The dodgiest of companies may simply fob you off or even ignore your refund request and you’ll be chasing them for-ever more until the time where most people just give up which is what they’ll count on, like many scam sites, many won’t be easily traceable or could even be based off-shore making further action against them very difficult or impossible.

How to convince people to join a pyramid scheme or similar:

Often pyramid schemes or similar schemes where the main product is the system itself will tell you that if you simply refer a hand full of members to the system below you, you will earn a massive income! They may then even go on to say that your potential earnings don’t stop there as you can keep referring members. Because many people are starting to become wise to such dodgy schemes, they often now only charge a very small amount to join, E.g. just $5 or even less as most people wouldn’t consider $5 or less as much to lose if the system doesn’t work out, but many of these schemes will attract thousands of members which will obviously still make the owner a packet while around 89% of members always lose out on the lower part of the pyramid.

For example, a $5 pyramid scheme might advertise, “refer 5 members and earn over $24K” or “spend $5, get 5 other people to spend $5 and earn over $24K”, explaining that it’s extremely easy to find 5 people to achieve this, even if it’s your friends.

Here is an example of a deep commission system:

8 referral levels (10%-5%-2%-1%-1%-1%-1%-1%)

The system will try to convince people to invest this small amount by showing them what they could potentially earn similarly to the example below:

Invest $5 for your membership and refer 5 members on the 1st level. If these all refer 5 members and these members all refer 5 members to an 8 level downline, you will earn the following:

1st Level = 5 Members = 10% of $25 = $2.50
2nd Level = 25 Members = 5% of $125 = $6.25
3rd Level = 125 Members = 2% of $625 = $12.50
4th Level = 625 Members = 1% of $3,125 = $31.25
5th Level = 3125 Members = 1% of $15,626 = $156.26
6th Level = 15625 Members = 1% of $78,125 = $781.25
7th Level = 78125 Members = 1% of $390,625 = $3,906.25
8th Level = 390625 Members = 1% of $1,953,125 = $19,531.25

Total Income = $24,427.51

I have seen very similar mass predicted earnings on numerous get rich or so call money making systems, but is this truly possible? Well, of course NOT, but they get away with it as it’s statistically and theoretically possible although from 5 direct referrals alone, I would say that you’ve got more chance of making this large amount of money by instead going to a betting shop to place a $5 bet that Elvis will return to the Earth on a flying saucer which will land outside the White House within the next 3 months, it will obviously never happen and neither will these earnings for the reasons I will explain. Firstly, not everyone will successfully refer 5 members, in fact in reality you will discover that the majority of members don’t manage to refer a single member in these types of systems, yet for the system to work as in the example, every single person out of 97655 members has to refer 5 people which would be as unlikely as the lottery numbers being 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 for numerous weeks running (based on the UK National Lottery with 6 balls drawn, each ranging from 1 to 49)! You will also learn that it’s much harder than you realise to refer members to a system like this, even to refer people to a totally free system is difficult, but as soon as money is involved, even if it’s a small amount, it becomes much more difficult. Even if you manage to refer your 5 members, the chances are that most or all of these members won’t manage to refer anyone and even if they did, the odds of everyone managing it to the 8th level is literally much less likely than billions to 1. From experience, you will really struggle to even get a single 2nd level referral even if do manage to refer 5 people, let alone to the 8th level referrals. Also the system will eventually become saturated and like any pyramid scheme, the majority of members will always end up in the lower levels and will lose their investment.

Please remember that around 89% of members of a pyramid scheme will always be at the bottom of the pyramid and will lose out no matter how many members join the scheme.

The Truth About Get Rich Quick Schemes:

The only genuine and lawful quick and easy option to make lots of money on-line are one in a million and you have to be very clever to think of such a money making opportunity before everyone else saturates it.

If you did amazingly discover an easy option to make money on-line, why would you share it with everyone else?

If you’re making or you’ve made masses of money on-line already, why do you need people to pay you for a get rich scheme?

If you want to stand any reasonable chance of making a large amount of money on-line, then you usually need a very good business plan and an excellent website to promote your service and/or to sell your product or products. Expect a lot of work to be involved and don’t expect to make anything overnight, in fact you could even lose money through many months of persevering before you eventually manage to break even and then possibly beyond. Many potential profit making on-line businesses fail because people give up too soon when they’re not making anything for a few months, but it can take many months of constant promoting to even get you’re first sale.

Please remember that most people who try to make money on-line fail miserably, but the big advantage is it’s often costs very little to get a genuine business started and with a professional looking website if you have the relevant skills. Potential customers can find it hard to distinguish between yourself as a small trader and a large business is you’re website is up to scratch. Potentially you could be one of the lucky few to make a lot of money, but if you fail, don’t give up and keep trying.

The golden rule is that you have to normally work hard for your money on-line and there’s barely any easy options available despite what people try to lead you to believe. Another well used golden rule is that if something appears too good to be true, it probably is.

The Infinity Downline System:

The Infinity Downline System which also known as the Power of 4 System is a classic example of a pyramid like scheme in disguise that’s sold as a get rich quick scheme where apparently even Internet dummies can earn money. It’s instead another income distribution system with a poor excuse for a product as the only revenue going into the system is from the $25 membership fees itself. How can everyone who pays $25 in earn many times this back? Well they clearly can’t and don’t. Only a small minority of members who manage to sell the scheme more than the most other members manage to make a profit at the expense of the many. Around 89% of members will always be at the bottom of the pyramid.

Please see my article titled, Infinity Downline System Members Won’t Be Retiring Early! for more details about this system and why you shouldn’t use it.

Important Advice:

Look and Feel Like A Multi-Million Pound Business

Please remember that there are literally thousands of falsely advertised so called home business opportunities and get rich schemes online today, but it doesn’t mean you can’t still make an honest income on-line. Like any business, it usually takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to succeed although it’s well worth it, but the Internet gives people the unique advantage of starting a professional looking business with barely any initial start-up cost. There’s more new businesses that fail on-line than anywhere else, but many are from people that haven’t taken their business seriously enough as they don’t truly believe that it can actually make them a substantial income or they have given up on their idea far too soon, before it really had chance to get started. There’s also some amazing success stories and it is certainly possible to succeed.

A genuine business however is in my opinion not just an offshoot of someone else’s multi-level marketing business or from joining a pyramid like scheme, it’s about setting up your own independent and unique website or websites offering competitive and desirable products and/or services. It’s about being fully in control of your own business. It’s about building up your own chosen business name and reputation, instead of wasting all your precious time selling and promoting someone else’s business!

Important Advice On Setting Up A Professional Website for Your New Business:

This is one of the most important factors to running a successful on-line business, it’s also very important to offer a desirable product or service at a competitive price. It’s then extremely important that you make your website search engine friendly and market it properly as without good quality traffic, your website is a pointless exercise. Once your business is set-up, it’s important to persevere as many potentially successful businesses fail simply because the owner has given up too soon. You may not get a single sale for months, but once you finally get the 1st one with constant promoting, they could come flooding in.

With a professional looking website, a single person can feasibly compete with large well established businesses as anyone can own a website that looks and feels like it’s been produced by a multi-Million pound organisation. If you can design a professional website yourself, you can start up for minimum cost. If you can’t design a website yourself, then I strongly suggest you initially spend your time learning as it gives you a massive advantage on-line.

It’s also extremely important that you have your own fully unique domain name (E.g. yoursitename.com instead of a sub-domain of someone else’s domain like yoursitename.webeden.co.uk) as if you can’t be bothered to spend around $10 a year (free with many paid hosting packages like Hosting24), it’s obvious to people that your not a serious business that can be trusted with their hard earned money, plus without your own domain name, search engines won’t take you serious either, leaving most or all of your website not indexed or certainly extremely low down in the list where barely anyone will find your website.

It’s much better to pay something at least for hosting your website, especially now it’s so cheap these days and I recommend you pay for hosting from the start, instead of upgrading later. Free hosting usually has strict limits on the amount of webspace available and your bandwidth (traffic), but there’s often additional hidden restrictions on much more, like a restriction on the maximum processing time your allowed along with memory usage on their PHP server and these lesser known restrictions could well cause very serious problems and errors once you’re website becomes more established. Free hosting also is often very unreliable, slower, has less features and/or it’s paid for instead with intrusive advertising on your website where you’d rarely have any control over what advertisements are displayed (it could display Ads from a direct competitor for-instance). Some of the worst free hosts don’t display Ads at first, instead they wait until your website becomes established when suddenly you’re bombarded with unwanted Ads that also slow down your website loading even more. What’s more, since there’s no actual sale, your free hosting service is provided “as is” without any guarantees of up time or anything else, this means the service could be withdrawn temporarily or permanently at any time without notice and there’s nothing you could legally do about it. Most free hosts hope you’ll be forced to upgrade to a paid service when you reach their harsh limits or when you’re sick of problems and/or advertisements, but often their paid upgrades aren’t too competitive as they know it’s much harder and often awkward to transfer to another host once you’re website is already established (it’s still worth it though).

If you must use a free host against my advice, I recommend 000webhost.com who are the free hosting sister company of Hosting24. I’ve used their free hosting in the past and so has a friend, their service is very good for a free host without any advertisements and their limits aren’t too bad either. PHP is available too which allows you to install the main content management systems, but there’s less other features that are available on the paid for Hosting24 service. Surprisingly for a free host, it’s quite reliable too with around 99% uptime and it’s also reasonably fast (but not as fast as Hosting24), but remember the service isn’t guaranteed and you’re bound to experience more downtime than with many paid Hosts like Hosting24 (guaranteed 99.9% uptime – use coupon code PJCNET).

It costs very little these days to pay for professional hosting, for instance this website is hosted using Hosting24 who provide unlimited bandwidth and webspace packages from just $4.84 a month (use coupon PJCNET) and my website had been on-line 99.9% of the time as promised (a generous fair usage policy applies – obviously I couldn’t host the whole of Youtube for just $4.84 a month for-instance). When I used to use Freehostia who provided free hosting (Ad free), this website was intermittently very slow and kept going off-line on a regular basis. When it was on-line, I kept getting errors and problems on my site due to Freehostia’s server problems which I suspect where mainly due to them being overloaded. After a whole week off-line for server maintenance that was started without any notice, I finally said enough is enough when I paid for Hosting24 instead. Also using free hosting reduces your search engine creditability which in turn reduces your traffic.

There’s various ways to produce professional looking websites today, the easiest is by using website makers along with various pre-set templates, although I strongly recommend you learn to make a website properly from scratch yourself as many people can spot pre-designed website templates as unprofessional, plus they’re awful to maintain and you’re very limited what you can do. You could design your website using software like Front Page or Dreamweaver, this is okay for websites that don’t need much updating as having to edit HTML webpages individually for all changes can be very time consuming and cumbersome. Instead I recommend you look at installing one of the well established open source content management systems like Joomla, Drupal or Wordpress. Wordpress is probably the easiest to get started with as it’s great for beginners, but it can also be powerful for advanced users (this website is made in Wordpress). Joomla is extremely powerful and more versatile to produce virtually any type of website (not just blog like websites). With content management systems, you get a nice front end to maintain your site that’s relatively easy for beginners, but there’s also optional and more powerful advanced features along with masses of extensions as your knowledge improves. In fact there’s virtually no limits as to what you can do as you become an expert as with freely distributable open source applications such as these, you can optionally modify what you wish. There’s 100s of pre-designed templates that can be modified to your needs, but to create your own custom template, I recommend an application named Artisteer. Artisteer is unfortunately commercial software that costs $129.99 for the standard version, but there’s also a reduced featured version available for $49.99. Artisteer is the only reasonable content management system template designer available for the PC at the time of writing and designing a custom template without it is very difficult. One can try Artisteer freely, but your template will be exported with a “trial” watermark which wouldn’t be feasible for any live website. This website was made using a modified pre-made template, although I intend to design a better one using Artisteer in the future.

If you decide to pay someone else to produce a website for you, you’ll often be restricted when you want to constantly improve the website, unless you constantly pay extra. When someone else produces your website, it just doesn’t give you the same satisfaction as if you produced it yourself. Many website designers also use the same pre-made template for numerous websites they produce, unless you pay a fortune for someone to design a custom made template for you. Also it’s rare that your website won’t look and feel exactly as you wanted and you’ll usually end up having to make do.

Buying a pre-made website as part of a pyramid like scheme that’s usually advertised as “you get a website just like this one”, ISN’T the answer. Firstly it’s important that you’re website is unique and certainly not duplicated repeatedly as every website that’s exactly the same splits your potential sales into a fraction. You’re website is usually selling the exact system you’ve just brought and is a pyramid like scheme where the majority of people are doomed to fail at the bottom. Don’t waste you time, effort and probably money.

WEBPROFITMARKETING.INFO

(see link above – NOT RECOMMENDED by PJCNET!)

THE LINK IN THE COMMENT ABOVE IS CLEVERLY SELLING THE INFINITY DOWNLINE SYSTEM using what are in my opinion ‘hard sell techniques’ (at the time of writing).

The Infinity Downline System is in my opinion similar to a pyramid scheme where the vast majority of members are doomed to fail in exactly the same way (a mathematical fact). Despite this mathematical fact, it’s not officially a pyramid scheme since it has what could be described as a ‘product’. The so called ‘product’ however is only digitally downloaded training ebooks / videos which are in my opinion worthless since better information can be found freely on-line simply by searching. In fact it’s difficult to earn 50p by selling an Ebook or similar on Ebay since people expect this information to be free. In my opinion there’s far too many so called money making opportunities giving away digital media as an excuse for a product so getting around the law that has banned pyramid schemes, yet just as many people lose out on these new systems as with pyramid schemes and there’s literally 1000’s of such systems on-line. With so many such systems they have to use increasing clever ways to disguise the real facts while making them appear to be genuine business opportunities and/or an excellent money making opportunities where it appears that everyone can make money even when this isn’t mathematically possible (most lose).

I don’t recommend The Infinity Downline System since it’s a mathematical fact that the vast majority of members will lose and will sell nothing, this will be the case when the system finally becomes saturated. It’s simply an income redistribution system since the only money going into the system is from membership fees to the system itself, this is the only money that can be repaid back to it’s members. A small percentage of members at the top make money including the owner who makes by far the most at the very top, this is at the expensive of the vast majority of members. Expect numerous biased reviews by desperate members all trying to sell the system against the odds. In order to have any reasonable chance of making money you’ll have to outwit the vast majority of other members with excellent and preferably unique ways of selling since the usual ways of selling are saturated with such systems, like traffic exchanges, safelists, cheap / free ad networks Etc. Unfortunately anyone that makes money will be in the small minority and they make money at the expense of the many and an even greater number of people they sign up are likely to be doomed to lose.

WEBPROFITMARKETING.INFO who advertise The Infinity Downline System and later what are in my opinion other poor systems promises a $12,750 to $51,000 income per month within 30 days. This is much too good to be true and in my opinion not realistic for 99.99%+ of members, if not all except the owner, but many people will at least leave their details out of pure curiosity if nothing else. If anyone did manage to sell so many memberships for The Infinity Downline System or similar systems, most of these people signed up beneath them would lose their money to pay for it.

The link in the comment above is an affiliate link (this is allowed) since it knows who the referrer is, this is despite of having no ID attached to the URL link. I suspect this website URL has been used to link the referrer instead. Affiliate links are allowed on this website, although I reserve the right to reply and to remove any links that I feel inappropriate.

Simply filling in your name and email address signs you up as a lead where you’ll receive numerous emails until you decide to opt out. It’s a fact that most people don’t sign up to a paid system from the 1st point of contact, but a much higher percentage sign up after reading a number of convincers first, hence why you will receive numerous emails and convincers for The Infinity Downline System and probably other similar systems in future. WEBPROFITMARKETING.INFO is therefore simply a clever way at convincing people to join The Infinity Downline System and similar future systems, while also gaining leads that are effectively worth money. Many emails can be set-up on autopilot and emails will be added to the system later when new systems are advertised. At least it appears that you have to double opt in to receive such emails and you can choose to opt out again at any time which is in line with anti-spamming laws.

PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR MY FULL REVIEW OF THE INFINITY DOWNLINE SYSTEM! (NOT RECOMMENDED!)

Sorry “OneWhoKnows” – but you are certainly a determined and clever Internet marketer and you’re therefore probably amongst the minority of people making money!)

I love this post. You are right. It is hard for decent businesses to make it when the scams are even set up to look great. I am offering one of the best products ever and with a better guarantee and do you think I have a chance? Probably not. We were just in the mall the other day and some scam artist is trying to sell that bionic band for $30, What a scam!!!! It’s trickery and no one can figure out how it works, but I did and I created a video to expose the whole thing. Thank you for this really nice and informative post. Great work. You put a lot into this. We need to ban together and expose the scam artists.
