On BT's website it states, “Moving your BT services is quick and easy. Find out how to move with less stress. “ and they go on to say you can move your entire service including broadband with one simple call. For broadband moves, they state, “If you give us at least five working days' notice, we'll aim to get your BT Broadband service installed on the same day as your phone line.”. Well, with me it had been ALL LIES and at the time of writing I still haven't got broadband and so far it's been nothing but stress.

I was just moving from one flat to another within the same block to get away from a noisy neighbour. Giving them 5 working days notice of the move, I expected to get everything moved the same day as my phone line. I called 0800 800 150 and selected “moving home”. The BT operator said that because of extra work required by the engineer, I'd have to pay a full £125 despite there being a phone socket in the new property and I'd have wait 5 working days for my broadband activation after the phone transfer. I queried this as 2 friends of mine were activated on broadband the same day as their phone installation and I was activated the same day when I first had BT broadband. We are all in exactly the same block, yet the BT operator insisted that the engineer would need to visit and lots of extra work was required making it impossible to transfer the same day.

I moved and 2 days later the BT engineer promptly came to connect my phone line. All went well, but I was surprised that it took him just 15 minutes to complete. On questioning the extra work involved, he said that there wasn't any extra work and that my new flat was exactly the same as the rest in the block. I phoned BT and asked them again why I'd been told about extra work and asked for my broadband to be activated immediately due to their mistake. I also queried the £125 charge as I've paid this once in the old flat with a BT socket and now I've had to pay it twice for extra work that wasn't even done. I was put through to various different departments and finally got told that I still have to pay the full £125 anyway despite there being no extra work as the BT engineer still visited and that they could only apologise. They then ordered my broadband transfer from this day telling me that now there was no other way but to wait the 5 working days as it wasn't done before. I was unhappy as not having the Internet is extremely inconvenient for me. I was was willing to let it go when they reassured me that my broadband would most definitely be back on next week.

I waited 5 working days and my broadband still hadn't come on so I called BT again to complain. The first BT operator said that there was no order for my broadband to be changed over and I was still connected in the old flat despite being told this would be disconnected on my move date. I was concerned as anyone could be using my Internet and I wasn't happy. I was then passed through various operators and departments. The 2nd BT operator said that my broadband had already been moved and I had to insist I had no service. After talking to over 5 people, I finally found out that despite the engineer visiting my flat on his paperwork and even though the correct flat number was on all my accounts, they had tried to move my service to the wrong flat number. Luckily the wrong flat didn't exist otherwise again, someone else would have had my Internet service. The job was apparently thrown back from the BT department as not done, yet BT just left it and made no attempt to contact me, instead they left me waiting for a service that would have never been connected. Someone internally had clearly made a mistake and I now expected for BT to bend over backwards to make amends, yet this still wasn't the case.

I complained and demanded they turn on my broadband service immediately or give me compensation. BT didn't want to know and I got told they have to re-order the move and I'll have to wait yet another 5 working days for activation. I demanded to speak to the department who actually did the change over, but they wouldn't give me contact details and it seems that their only contact to this department was by Email. I then insisted I speak to a complaints manager who didn't bother calling me back when promised.

I made a formal complaint via Email and BT so far haven't even replied. I tried calling again to ensure that this time they had it right, but yet again got passed around various operators, all telling me different stories. They were supposed to call me back to confirm and never did either. After spending ages on the phone, I finally got assured that the order had now been placed, 2 weeks since I originally placed the order, it will be 3 weeks if they now reconnect me when they say.

Until my broadband is back on, I can't trust anything BT say to me any more. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm charged for the broadband service I haven't been receiving due to BT's total incompetence.

BT 's customer service has certainly gone to the dogs as they used to be very good. Additionally my friend had similar problems contacting BT when his Internet was slow. I have been trying to get BT to tell me when peak time is on the Internet so as not to over use it and get restricted under the “fair usage policy” and they haven't answered despite various phone calls, emails and now complaints - please see my post on Isn't it about time BT's "fair usage" policy was made clear?

I will update if and when my broadband is finally reconnected - in the mean time I'm forced to visit a friends.

To visit BT to arrange moving home, please visit http://www2.bt.com/movinghome for full details according to BT. I hope you have better luck than I did. I hope BT improve their service soon.

(Lots of 'Orbs' caught at the cemetery on a clear dry night)

Our new paranormal group, Birmingham Investigators of the Unknown has taken various photographs while on an investigation in Key Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, as far as we know we are the first group to investigate this location, but we could be wrong? We found the location to be extremely active. See the link below for more details and lots of photos:

http://www.birminghamiu.com/keyhill

We will be adding to these photos soon as we've caught some incredible stuff on our second visit to the location. We will also be adding more locations and are in the process of expanding our website.

If you intend to visit the Cemetery at night, ensure you take at least a few people with you with decent lighting. Preferably arrive just before dusk to tour the grounds first. We didn't see anyone but ourselves (excluding spirits), but there's evidence of homeless people visiting the cemetery as there were used needles Etc in the bushes towards the left at the back of the grounds Be warned - safety always comes first.

The Cemetery was opened in 1836 and hasn't been used for burials since the 1950's. For more information on Key Hill Cemetery and it's history - see http://www.friendsofkeyhillcemetery.co.uk (Friends of Key Hill Cemetery).

Also see http://www.birminghamiu.com for our main website - we are looking for new members at the time of writing.

The following utility is recommended for advanced user only as you can potentially cause serious problems if used incorrectly. If you are using Windows XP or above, it's advised that you make a system restore before making any changes to your system as an extra precaution.

If you really want to squeeze every last ounce of power from your Windows based PC, then look no further than TweakUI by Fresh Devices. What's more the utility is totally free and is updated regularly. All you need to do is quickly register to receive a free unlock code for life - there is no catches. This very powerful utility allows you to access masses of hidden settings that are normally only available by editing the registry. The interface is user friendly, well laid out and gives a decent summary explaining what each and every option actually does. Customize and optimise windows as desired.

Many other utilities advertise similar, but only give access to a fraction of the tweaks that TweakUI uses and when I say it's free, I mean it's free. Many other applications say they are free, but after downloading you find you have to pay to unlock the full version of the software.

TweakUI is compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000/ NT4/98/95/Me.

My friend and I wanted to visit Tutbury Castle near Burton on Trent for an overnight paranormal investigation. Because it cost so much to hire the castle for the night, we were forced to go with another paid group. In this situation we normally choose CEPI (Central England Paranormal Investigators) as they're so good, but unfortunately this also makes them very popular so events sell out quickly. Also CEPI don't normally visit Tutbury Castle at the time of writing.

Haunted Happenings were visiting the Tutbury Castle on the 27th June 2008 from 11pm until 7am. Although we'd never used this group before, they were very reasonably priced at £39 per head and the date was convenient for us to visit. I still didn't trust the group completely, so we phoned up for more information. On the phone Hazel the owner sounded very professional. My friend Peter has physic abilities and can experience trance mediumship (when a spirit takes over your body) and it can often become violent so we wanted to ensure this was acceptable. CEPI have plenty of security and are well trained for trance mediumship, they certainly go out of their way for this to happen under safe controlled conditions. Hazel of Haunted Happenings explained that yes, they're always ready for this and they also want this to happen. She even said that they have plenty of security and it won't be a problem. Apparently we could use any equipment too during the investigation. She also said the group was non-profit making like CEPI. Everything sounded similar to CEPI, very professional and serious until we actually arrived - it couldn't be had been more different.

Firstly everyone except Peter (my friend) and myself were newbies and seemed quite scared, this wasn't an initial good sign as no-one actually returned to their events for a 2nd time. On entering the base camp at 11pm, we was initially greeted my a man dressed in medieval costume who was taking our names for the event. We were given an old style certificate saying that we had survived the night. I initially wasn't impressed by this as we wanted a serious investigation, but was prepared to take it from there. Hazel (the owner) then advised everyone about suitable behaviour for the event, no swearing or violent behaviour what-so-ever which is fair enough. I then questioned about trance mediumship (getting taken over Etc.). They implied that no-one should be taken at all or they will be lead away, possibly to security for the rest of the night. On being introduced to the rest of the team, none of the group seemed to have much knowledge of the paranormal what-so-ever either. One of the staff members was totally new and didn't seem to have even been to a paranormal event at all, not even as a guest. Also none of staff except the man in costume wore any ID what-so-ever so throughout the rest of the night, we didn't even know who staff were. A few times I spoke to guests think they were staff, this was embarrassing.

There was no energy building before the event what-so-ever (later the staff were skipping on the spot, telling us that this is how to energy build).

At about 11.30pm we were taken on a dismal history tour that was very poorly acted by the gentleman in medieval dress. He worked for Haunted Happenings, not for the Castle itself, so had poor knowledge and experience. The talk was totally flawed as many apparent facts fell down under scrutiny. It was very boring and somewhat pathetic. This finished at about 12.30am, where we had a short break. Peter was then told to "keep it down" as not to scare the newbies when he simply spoke about trance mediumship and past paranormal experiences.

At around 12.45am we were taken with 2 so called mediums to various locations. They then in my opinion started what seemed like a very poorly acted and written "play" that was totally flawed in every way. We weren't even allowed to talk despite before hand being told to tell the staff everything we feel no-matter what. I wanted to interact - but wasn't allowed. In the first location, the medium slowly described a woman in white dress who was strangled, this was then apparently "Mary Queen of Scots". There was no emotion what-so-ever, very bland and nothing like what I've seen with CEPI. The woman medium even started crying, which was so fake that it was an insult to our intelligence. Peter picked up totally different vibes, but the staff didn't want to know when I tried to tell them. I was then worried he was going to be taken by a spirit and needed the staff to check on him, but the staff still weren't interested. I again tried to tell staff that Peter was picking up interesting information, but was told nastily to "shut up" as these are "highly paid mediums" at work, which is rubbish. We tried to use our Infra Red Thermometer which we were beforehand told we could use, but we were told to put it away. I was then very concerned about Peter who was breathing heavily and was then forced to whisper to see how he was against being told to "shut up repeatedly". Peter was even told to close it down in a nasty manner, staff didn't show the slightest concern what-so-ever for him throughout. We then watched similar awful performances without being able to talk in various locations. Afterwards in the break the medium confronted us in a nasty manner telling us we were "very rude" talking and not telling the rest of the group despite trying to tell them many times, but being told to "shut up". We felt like we were close to being thrown out at this stage. We remained calm throughout, but was obviously very upset. Peter just wanted to leave altogether and demand a refund, but unfortunately there was no-where else to go and our train back to Birmingham wasn't until the next morning.

It was already 2am with only just over 1 hour to go before it started getting light. We were again told to be quiet and keep it down in future as we were scaring the newbies - the opposite of what was promised on the phone beforehand. The group then split up to start vigils. From then on we couldn't even be part the group and were told to do our own thing elsewhere in the location away from their vigils. Even more annoyed and upset, we did at least have some enjoyment and experiences on our own, but there was no security or help in place what-so-ever and the group clearly had little or no training. Also the event was so badly organised that no-one knew where anyone was so it was hard to eliminate noises. Peter felt like he could be taken by a spirit on a number of occasions while on our own, but was forced to fight it as we would certainly had been kicked out and the staff wouldn't have been able to help even if they were around. It then got light quite quickly as most of the darkness was wasted beforehand.

Later Peter further confirmed the incompetence of the staff when he spoke to one of the 2 apparent "mediums", asking for advise on the "3rd eye", she hadn't even heard of the 3rd eye asking Peter what it was. How can a medium not know this very basic information? In my opinion this clearly proves she isn't a real medium. Also another member of staff admitted that they were a profit making company after all, which again is the opposite of what we was told on the phone.

At the end of the night at around 4.45am when all but a couple of staff had gone home, we were finally allow to join the rest of the group in the final "seance". We went to the only place that was still fairly dark during what was now daylight, the group called it, "the dungeon". Only the leader Hazel attended who clearly would have been in very serious trouble if something really did kick off. The only other staff were packing up the opposite side of the grounds well out of communication distance and the staff had no radios either. We joined arms in a circle, but the Hazel didn't seem to have a problem breaking the circle at any time. She stamped on the floor to attempt to get paranormal activity and kept seeing "red orbs" and weird figures and flashing lights, which we simply didn't see, except for reflections. Peter breathed loudly at one point and the Hazel made a big thing of it. I told her that it was Peter, she looked and then looked away and still went on how incredible it was.

The event finished at just turned 5am (much earlier than advertised) where we at least had a croissant and jam. We then left at around 5.45am (7am advertised).

In summary the night was terrible, the staff were often impolite and arrogant. They clearly had very little knowledge or experience of the paranormal what-so-ever. They showed no interest in anything throughout the night and certainly had no passion what-so-ever. The "mediums" where in my opinion clearly fake. Hazel lied on the phone beforehand, saying anything we wanted to hear until she had our money. Saying all this newbies may be satisfied as they don't know anything better and could be easily lead by the staff. I don't think they wanted us there as they were worried about being exposed. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - WAIT FOR CEPI who will give you an amazing night, which is safer and better in every way. CEPI staff are committed and are there because they are passionate about investigating the unknown, NOT because they want your money as they are not a business. They are well trained, polite and the events are very well organised. If you want to go to the theatre, go with Haunted Happenings, but be prepared for some bad acting!

PS: Since the investigation (if you could call it that) we have looked on their website, they're currently advertising jobs including for "story tellers" amongst other positions. I've also noticed they often run more than one investigation on the same night, so you won't always get the same team.

27th June 2008

We are seriously intending to start a brand new and exciting paranormal group based in the Birmingham UK area called Birmingham Investigators of the Unknown or BirminghamIU. The founder members have good experience of the paranormal and will be looking for new members to join us. If you are experiencing the paranormal and would like some assistance, then our totally free service will range from simple advice to full investigations. Eventually, in the future as the group expands, we also hope to provide good value paid investigations to famous locations, open to the general public. The group will always remain non-profit making and everything will be put straight back into the group.

Our website is currently being designed at the time of writing, but please see http://www.birminghamiu.com for more information about the group itself. As the group develops I will describe the steps taken to start our group. If we are a success it will provide good advice to other people who also want to start their own group, if we fail it will at least show you where we went wrong.

Founder Members With The Same Goal

The group has initially formed from 3 people living in the same residential block near Birmingham City Centre.

I've got vast experience of the paranormal and have received formal training as a member of another local group which mainly use scientific investigation techniques. I haven't yet learnt to use any psychic abilities properly, but I'm reading books and attending classes. I'm also very good with computers and scientific equipment. If our new group succeeds, my involvement with my other group will cause a conflict of interests and I will be forced to resign, leaving me to put all my effort into the new group. I must choose a suitable time to resign, if I do this too soon, our group could fail and I won't be part of any group at all, if I do it too late, it will be unfair to my colleges in the established scientific group as there are strict rules about joining 2 groups.

The 2nd founder member has experience of the paranormal and is showing strong psychic abilities, although he's still got a lot to learn and is attending classes.

The final founder member also has experience of the paranormal and is showing some psychic abilities. He has also got excellent computer skills including web design.

We're are all very keen and willing to work hard to make our group a success and have already investigated potentially haunted locations together, including in my own flat (Click for more information) where we have picked up various EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon).

Obtaining Equipment For Investigations

To get the group started we need to acquire equipment. So far we only have a digital dictaphone, torches and 2 walkie talkies. We intend to purchase an EMF meter, an infra red thermometer, a 4 in 1 environment meter, a digital camera and a night vision camcorder. For more information on equipment and where to purchase it, please click here. Extra equipment will be added gradually when we have the money.

Attracting New Members

We have 3 founder members so far and would ideally like 4 or 5, so are on the look out for at least 1 more suitable candidate. Currently we're somewhat limited where we can investigate as we don't currently have a car, so a new member with his/her own transport would be very advantageous.

After recruiting all the founder members we will be looking to other keen members from the public with like minded interests to form the remainder of the group. Our website is being designed and will be publicised over the Internet in the hope of attracting interest as well as advertising for potential clients and places to investigate. Once we have more members, we then need to decide where we are going to meet and how much if anything to charge in membership into the group kitty.

Help From New Friends In The Field

Sometimes as you know it's not what you know, but who you know. Our founder members previously went on paid investigations with another local group. We asked them for help and advice starting our group. The leader is hopefully going to send some clients our way when our group is formed. She says they have far more potential clients than they're about to take on. Okay, we are in some ways getting the left overs, but it's still a great opportunity to get started.

Public Liability Insurance

It's very inportant that any serious group gets public liability insurance as a basic requirement when carrying out investigations in other people's properties. This works quite cheaply, but phone around for the best quote.

Future Updates

We have many challenges ahead of us if we want to start a successful group.

I will update as to how we get on, whether we succeed or fail.

UPDATE 21ST JULY 2008

Since starting BirminghamIU, our 3 founder members including myself have been an a private investigation and various outdoor investigations. We have already caught EVP, numerous paranormal photographs including numerous 'orbs' and white mist. I have almost been taken by what appeared to be a spirit on a couple of occasions and our psychic has been taken by spirit. Our website is up and running. Everything is great, but we need more members. If anyone is interested, please visit our website at http://www.birminghamiu.com and contact us.

WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE UPDATES!

(All person names have been left out for the purpose of confidentiality at this time)

An Internet site claims to be upgrading the entire Internet to Web 2.0 at the touch of a button. They use sentences like " The Web 2.0 Upgrade is an astonishing breakthrough in what is being called THE NEXT STEP IN THE EVOLUTION of the Internet" and go on say that they will revolutionalise the Internet. According to them, members are calling them the next "BIG Google".

They're also promising to give away $1 Million and you allegedly earn a share when you spread the Web 2.0 word and 2 members join the site below you. The system is supposed to go live on the 1st July 2008 when evidence suggests that it will be just another affiliate marketing get rich scheme and I strongly suspect you'll have to pay for any reasonable level of membership. I've initially joined free so that I can get more information about the system and I'm already receiving various marketing Emails, proving that they're already using the system to build a large list of leads for marketing purposes.

Firstly Web 2.0 isn't a brand new Internet at all, against speculation. It's just the name given for a new bread of site that allows full interaction from users rather than just browsing information, for example http://www.youtube.com. Web site interaction is something that has gradually evolved over the years and isn't something brand new.

This site's so called upgrade appears to be just an Internet plugin that allows social interaction like chatting while surfing the Web, E.g. you can chat about the page you're surfing and see who else is surfing that particular page in real time. This has been done before by various companies and certainly isn't new at all, see http://www.iosurf.com for example.

The site's main domain name is http://www.cashblasterpro.com (*** Now offline - see beside link below) but various promotional domains are being redirected to this site for affiliate marketing purposes. This is hardly the domain name you'd expect for a site that's going to completely revolutionise the Internet.

To sign up you have to visit the site via an affiliate link. For more information please visit the site below, but be warned it's very convincing:

http://www.CashBlasterPro.com/pjcnet (*** The original website is now off-line since the so called launch - See http://www.web2server.info for the new official site)

I have written to the company politely suggesting that I suspect they're making false claims, see below:

Message sent to "CashBasterPro" on 17th June 2008:

I can certainly give you 100% for marketing and presentation, but excuse me if I'm sceptical, but your "web 2.0 Internet upgrade" appears to be just a fancy instant message plug-in that allows you to chat and interact while surfing. Please visit http://www.iosurf.com and you will see that this has been done before - this is just one example of social interaction while surfing web pages.

Lots of companies are exploiting the term "Web 2.0" for promotion purposes as it's meaning is a currently bit of a grey area. It sounds much better than it really is and people misunderstand, thinking it's a completely new Internet, when in reality Web 2.0 has slowly evolved from Web 1.0 and isn't anything new at all.

If the take away the Web 2.0 Internet upgrade cover, it looks to me like your system is just another clever way to recruit as many members as possible into a get rich quick scheme. You also generate a massive leads list which you're clearly using for marketing purposes.

I will publish my opinion about your system, but first I'd like to give you the opportunity to advise me what makes your system so special, so different from the rest? I will include your reply.

PS: If you really do become that next "BIG Google", then please accept my apologises!

Reply To Message:

There has been absolutely no reply to this message what-so-ever. This is further evidence that this is a scam.

Dropshipping has been around in the USA for a few years, but is relatively new in the UK. The problem with setting up an Internet shop is having the money and room to stock the goods in the first place. Also if the goods don't sell well, the trader can be stuck with them. This is where a dropship company comes in. They stock a range of products and sell them at wholesale prices. The trader then sells the goods on the Internet, often on Ebay at a higher price. When a customer places an order for a product, the trader places this order to the dropship company who then delivers the product directly to the customer in plain packaging so they are none the wiser. In summary, the trader uses the dropship company as their warehouse, who can ship out small orders directly to customers.

The main advantage of dropshipping is it's virtually risk free as you need hardly any outlay to get started. The main disadvantage is you're not in full control and things can occasionally go wrong, Example 1) The item is out of stock or delayed after the customer purchases it on Ebay. Example 2) The product is faulty and you then have to liaise with the dropship company to arrange a replacement, if you refund immediately, you can be out of pocket. Problems can of-course cause bad feedback on Ebay, if the Dropship company provides a poor service, you're the one who is responsible in the eye of the customer, it's very important to remember this.

If you want to start making money from dropshipping, you first need to seriously consider which dropship company or companies you're going to use along with what products you're going to sell. For the reasons written in the above paragraph, it's very important you choose a company that provides an excellent service or you will get the blame from your customers. Some dropship companies charge joining fees or subscriptions, other charge deposits, while a few are totally free. Some dropship companies have competitive product prices, while others are more expensive than you can buy on Ebay anyway. Unfortunately I'm yet to find a totally free dropship company that is very competitive, but joining fees are normally affordable, many are less than £100, but often less than £30 or even £10. I tried one company that charges £2.95 a month, see http://www.supreme-dropshipping.co.uk.

Watch out as some companies call themselves Dropship companies yet are really middlemen that mark up the prices between the trader and a real dropship company. Real dropship companies buy their goods directly from the manufacturer. Research your dropship company well, read reviews Etc. and if possible check their product rates with current prices on Ebay Etc. Some dropship companies don't tell you most of their prices unless you join, I can understand why to some extent, but it's difficult then to decide if they're competitive. If they're not competitive, they're not worth using, so I'd ask them for an example price list before joining, if they refuse, I'd choose someone else.

You also need to choose your products very carefully and how you're going to sell them. If using Ebay, I recommend you use an Ebay shop, the basic shop is just £6 a month with a 30 day free trial. Remember when marking your price up for sale, you need to consider all costs involved, including product cost, postage, Ebay fees Etc. and often Paypal fees.

If you decide to use Ebay, designing sales pages can be quite time consuming if you're selling lots of products. I recommend you download and use the Ebay Turbo Lister, it's totally free and makes this job much faster. Most dropship companies allow the use of their photographs and text for selling, but some go one stage further and include CSV files that can be imported directly into the turbo lister. You then get everything you need to list the items on Ebay, all done for you. If you do import CSV files, check through each item before submitting, often important things need to be changed like your Paypal email address fore instance. You may like to alter or customise the listings to your needs too.

Finally there are already more people trying to make a living from dropshipping than there is money to go round. Like affiliate marketing, making money from dropshopping is likely to become more saturated as time goes on. Eventually it will be hard for all but well established companies to survive. The earlier you start up your business, the more chance you'll have of succeeding. Most people will unfortunately fail or will only make a small amount, so you really have to work extra hard to swing the scales in your favour. As well as your product, price and customer service, success often comes down to how you promote your business as well as your ongoing reputation. I wish you the very best of luck and success in the future.

There's a number of paid to surf sites out there, they all promise to payout in return for watching hours and hours of advertisements as well as getting referrals. As well as pay to surf, some sites promise to pay you to click (paid to click), to register, to fill out surveys, to play games or just about anything else on-line. Another popular offering is virtually guaranteed high yield investments.

Unfortunately it seems that many of these schemes don't actually pay as promised and are therefore a blatant scam. The rogue company then makes it's money from either advertising or from initial investments and never ever pays anything back. Often one can waste many hours building up an account balance to the alleged payout threshold, only to find that payouts just don't happen. It's worse still if you invest in an apparent high yield investment and get nothing back what-so-ever. Often customers Email the company and complain repeatedly to no avail. Most people are forced to eventually give up and count their losses.

Here's a list of many suspected scam sites as of the 27th May 2008, I say "suspected" as so far I've found no conclusive evidence of payouts from any of them across the Internet. If you know different, please let me know so I can correct the information immediately:

This is a blatant illegal scam, the site hasn't just been abandoned as they've updated the list of sites surfed recently at the time of writing, so they're making money from new advertising while refusing to pay anything out as what-so-ever! I'm now searching for places to report this site in an attempt to close them down. I'd love the owners to be brought to justice, but this unfortunately rarely happens.)

Here's a much longer list of paid to click services that are allegedly a scam, it's a little more out of date at the time of writing, updated October 2007:

http://www.gptworld.org/showthread.php?t=401

My list mainly includes "Paid To" and high yield investment scams, there's thousands of other scams sites out there across the Internet, far too many to publish. The list is far from conclusive and new sites are appearing all the time. Sadly there seems to be so many scams that it's hard to spot genuine companies that actually pay out as promised. It's amazing that rogue companies are left to operate in this way for so long while nothing gets done to stop them. Scamming has become big business on the Internet, some scamming sites have been ripping people off for years, yet still nothing is done to stop it. Other scam sites rip off lots of people and then disappear. The owner then starts over with a new scam site and maybe even running various scam sites at once. The whole thing is getting out of control and more should be done to investigate and shut down the offending organisations.

Using “WhoIs” To Your Advantage To Help Avoid Scams

With every registered domain on the Internet today, the owner is required to register up to date details including their mailing address and Email. All this information is kept on a large database called “WhoIs” which is freely and publicly available. If these details are later found to be false, the domain maybe removed. Many dodgy companies have found a loophole in this system and are registering using a proxy company like "Domains by Proxy, Inc." to avoid disclosing this information. I'm not saying that every company registered by proxy is dodgy, but most legitimate companies register their actual address as they've got nothing to hide.

Occasionally you may find some information is missing with a warning, like “The IP address from which you have visited the Network Solutions Registrar WHOIS database is contained within a list of IP addresses that may have failed to abide by Network Solutions' WHOIS policy”. This is then very suspicious and unless this information is corrected shortly, it looks like the company tried to provide false information.

If the domain isn't registered by proxy, then you can find out where the company is operating from and much more. If operating outside Europe, the USA and other 1st world countries, they're not accountable to the same Internet enforcement laws, but I'm not saying that all companies operating outside the 1st world are scamming either.

Visit http://www.whois.ws to lookup "WhoIs" information on any domain. See WhoIs FAQ for more information.

On 2 different nights and on 2 nights only I've heard lots of knocks and bangs in the own flat that appeared to move around within my flat. On asking for 2 knocks to confirm it was there, I got 2 knocks time and time again. I asked very quietly so I can definitely rule out neighbours playing tricks, plus I know the difference between knocks next door and knocks right beside me. When I kept trying to go to sleep, I kept getting a loud knock on/by my bed, as if it didn't want me to sleep.

It may sound bizarre, but on the 1st night when I stripped off to get into bed, I heard a reaction, like a jeer, right in my ear. It sounded exactly like the noise I heard in my ear when I did a paranormal investigation previously and my college caught EVP, plus the knocks and bangs are the same.

I can't rule out 100% natural knocks/bangs and can't say it's definately a spirit, but it certainly seems paranormal as it's only ever happened on 2 nights since I moved into my flat last November 07. I've invited what-ever it is to come back, but it's not happening tonight and I suspect it won't happen again for weeks. I can call out as much as I like on other nights and nothing ever happens, yet on these 2 nights it was quite blatant. If this happens again I'll record using a Dictaphone and you never know, I may just get EVP?

(Salvia Divorum Leaf and Salvia Divinorum 20x Extract)

For hundreds of years people have apparently been using the leaves of a plant called Salvia to induce Astral Projection and/or spiritual growth. It's being marketed and sold today for this purpose or it's just sold as legal high. Most people smoke the product.

Salvia is legal in most countries at the time of writing and is sold in varying strengths as an extract. Salvia Divinorum Extract can 6x, 10x or even 20x the strength of the original leaf or even higher. I've seen videos of people under the influence of Salvia, some appear to be frightened in a similar way to having a "bad trip", others just appear totally out of it. I don't recommend you take this substance without a sitter who isn't under the influence unless you're very experienced and know exactly what to expect. If you must use, then use with extreme caution and respect. Don't use unless you've got a clear head and are in a good mood as more likely to have a bad experience. If in doubt, don't touch it, there's other more natural ways to experience Astral Projection.

If your conciousness really is transported to the Astral Plane after smoking Salvia, then it's understandable that it could be very frightening, especially if the person doesn't know what to expect. Salvia could be potentially sending people into the Astral who aren't ready for it and can't handle the experience. Also if you haven't got a clear mind in the Astral, you can create your own demons and not see the Astral as it really is, in a similar way to a dream or even a nightmare. When you induce Astral Projection using meditation techniques, you automatically have to have a clear mind to start with, with Salvia, this often isn't the case. Also if you enter the Astral during meditation, it's easy to return to your body, with Salvia, this may not be so easy controlled, although you will definately return eventually. It's also worrying that while experiencing Salvia and allegedly the Astral, people are often still moving about physically. I can't explain this as it doesn't seem to fit in with normal Astral Projection and it could be potentially dangerous, E.g. you could have a physical accident. This is one good reason why having a sitter is highly recommended for your own safety and piece of mind.

Okay, back to the question, can Salvia Divororum induce Astral Projection? Well, see my journal below which details my controlled experiments and first hand results.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 1ST TIME USERS:
If you're still considering using Salvia, please read this great user guide first at http://www.sagewisdom.org/usersguide.html, it's very helpful and unbiased.

For even more information about Salvia and how it can allegedly induce Astral Projection, please take a look at http://www.salviadragon.com, but bare in mind that they're are trying to sell you Salvia and are going to be very one sided. If you're in any doubt about trying Salvia, then my advice is to avoid it.

KEEP WATCHING FOR MORE JOURNAL UPDATES BELOW DETAILING MY FIRST HAND EXPERIENCES!

Journal - A 1st Hand Study Into The Effects Of Salvia When Smoked

30th May 2008 - Preparation and Contemplation

1 Gram of Salvia Divinorum 20x extract arrives in the post. Now I've got actually it, I fear using it, worrying about the unknown. What will it be like? Will it be enjoyable or unpleasant? Will it be frightening? Will I be able to control and handle the experience? Will I really Astral Project? The fear stops me using it immediately, but I'm so intrigued and excited that it's impossible for me to leave it for long. Yes I will try it, but I need to take every precaution possible first, I know this drug deserves the greatest of respect and must first arrange a suitable sitter. In the mean time, I start studying a great on-line user guide (as recommended above). I continue studying this and any other information across the Internet while trying to build up my courage. I must take the plunge the next few days.

Disclaimer:

PJCNET isn't promoting Salvia and if you choose to use it, you do so entirely at your own risk. Strictly adults only. Salvia is illegal in Australia and a few other countries as well as some US States at the time of writing, but could become a controlled substance in other countries in the future. Salvia is currently legal in the UK to possess, but officially shouldn't be sold for human consumption. The laws of your country should be respected at all times.
